About our weather station:
We are using the wireless (solar powered) Oregon Scientific weather station on a professional mount about 12 feet above the ground. Granted people do not live that high off the ground, however, this height allows accurate wind speed and direction. The mount also includes the solar radiation shield (for accurate temperatures). The indoor console is connected to an Agrisea Tornado (powered by a 64-bit AMD Sempron™ 1.60GHz CPU with 1GB memory) which runs the Internet Edition - Virtual Weather Station software by Ambient Weather.
